    Description

PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD FOR ITEM AND SHIPPING DETAILS!!
This is a metal/porcelain railroad crossing sign from the 1800s. It is from the upper Peninsula of Michigan; salvaged from abandoned sections of the Lake Superior & Ishpeming railroad. This is the "uber rare," double horizontal line/double X version of the sign. The two lines signified 2 rails, or two tracks. We have not seen one sold on Ebay ever; certainly none in recent listings. One sold at a recent major railroadiana auction for 00. Nice sign in fine condition as you can see, for a 100+ year old item! No bends or folds in the metal. Holes only where bolts were used to mount the sign to the post. Sign is 24" in diameter.
    PLEASE NOTE!!! We
