    Description

This is a RARE 1800s 24" Round Heavy Cast Iron Railroad Crossing Sign
Measures 24" inches round and 3/4" of an inch thick.  Used at crossways etc. in the 1800s and were secured to some type of steel / metal pole.  The center bottom has an indentation from the original secure set up.   The top of the sign has the two R's - one on the left and one on the right which are embossed / raised as is the two lines that go north to south and east to west.
Original paint is gone with just a faint amount here and there. No chips, breaks, etc.  In incredible condition for age.
Note:  This is an extremely heavy piece.  It is local pick up only and shipping would be very expensive due to it's weight and it needing to be crated.
