This is a Milwaukee Road whistle sign, these signs were placed infront of every crossing to tell trains to blow their horns/ whistles.
This particular sign is from southern Wisconsin.
Flaws
The sign has some missing paint on the bottom portion.
The back has creosote stains (most Milwaukee road signs do)
The sign is bent (photo shows this)
