Historic Southern Pacific Railroad Fruitvale Tower Station Sign, Oakland.
Original sign salvaged from the Southern Pacific Railroad Fruitvale Tower Bridge. A historic sign from the Oakland area. Was originally one piece, was cracked upon removal and hinges were added to keep it together. Black and white heavy painted solid wood sign measures 54” by 17” by 1.75” thick. It’s a heavy heavy wood sign.paint loss and crackling commensurate with age. Towers were erected in 1951 and usage stopped in the early 90’s. A great piece of Oakland and Railroad history.
