    Description

Up for sale is this butter pat from an unknown maker.  It features a white body with brown and orange pin stripes about the rim.  In the center is the double headed eagle holding a sword logo for the 32nd degree of the free mason organization.   It
measures about 3-3/8" in diameter.   This piece is in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.   There are some moderate utensil/stacking marks and a couple of glaze bumps.
There is an incised 2 digit number inside a circle on the reverse - looks like "54" to me.   Unfortunately this does not tell me either the maker or the manufacture date.  Anyway, it is made from a thicker blank intended for the rigors of use in a restaurant, hotel dining room or railroad dining car.  Thanks for looking.
Note: I'll be listing more than 30 butter pats over the next couple of days.  Please find them by clicking the "visit store" link above and then searching for butter.
